Building mental resilience through movement
Breathing and attention practices that lower stress load, on and off the trail.

Movement and mental resilience reinforce each other more than most people realize. Regular physical activity lowers baseline stress hormones, while a calm mind makes it easier to stay consistent with movement in the first place.
A simple practice: before or after activity, spend two minutes on slow, controlled breathing — four seconds in, six seconds out. This activates your parasympathetic nervous system and helps transition your body out of a stressed state.
None of this requires a big time commitment. A few minutes of intentional breathing, paired with movement you already do, is enough to notice a difference in how you carry stress through the day.
